Well, I said I was going to try to blog every day but yesterday was my long day. Tuesday is scout day in the Trujillo household. I caught on break, Emma was being punished for not cleaning her room, so she wasn’t allowed to go to Girl Scouts. Instead of cleaning she was reading for 6 hours, I have never seen someone read more than I do. It’s Amazing! I told her that if she ever wanted a book all she had to do was ask. I bought her a Kindle for her birthday but there is nothing better than holding a book in your hand.
Work was an adventure yesterday, one of the guys who work the counter with me and another had taken a vacation day off. The day seemed to fly by, there were customers continually at the counter and we were quite busy. But as 1:00 pm approached , my lunch half hour, the bowels of hell opened wide and a bunch of customers appeared . Never the less I didn’t get to go to lunch until 1:50 pm. It seems the world is totally against me. The only shining star at work is our receptionist …… she “gets me”. She always has a kind word and even called me on my birthday. That actually brought a tear to my eye.
Speaking of my Birthday, I can always count on my friends to rescue me from the loneliness of special days. Peter and Bones invited me to dinner along with my kids. Last time we were invited Luke went into his comedy routine about his mother and was quite funny at her expense. Of course Emma was a rat and sold him out to their Mom. He ended up having to write a letter of apology to them.
I left work at 4:30 pm and was on my way to Saugus. No one was home and I had to park out front and waited for Luke. He arrived about a half hour later. We went to Taco Bell for a Chalupa and off to scouts. The end of the day for me came around 9:30 pm when I laid down to dream of Amazon women in chain mail.
Today started at 3:00am when my alarm went off and I place my space boots on my legs for my daily morning ritual! If I don’t do this my legs have a tendency to swell a lot. This morning I had to take my Father vital signs and transmit them to his visiting nurse. This is always an adventure but Dad was still a bit asleep and he did it quickly. I arrived at work my day started early. Us counter guys had a nice surprise by one of the Chinese plumbers by the name of Yong. He brought us our favorite drinks from Dunkin’ Donuts, large regular ice coffee for me.The day was long and hard which is good if your a porn star but for me it was tiring. I finally left at my usual time 2:30 pm (Monday - Wednesday - and alternate Fridays) Bizarre schedule but its what I got.
It's getting dark outside and there is a Tornado warning out for Massachusetts. I was promised big thunder storms but so far we had a quick one this morning. I spoke to Gail and they are having storms and such out in Orange. Its heading our way. Just gonna relax tonight and try to figure out what I'm gonna do this weekend. Well Massachusetts had a bunch of Tornado warnings and a couple touched down out in Springfield. I always miss out. I have thought my whole life that weather would kill me. Heart attack shoveling snow comes to my mind. Its time to call it a night and end the day.
